We are currently on the hunt for a dedicated and understanding SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School situated in Dollis Hill. The role will involve working closely with SEN Students in a 1:1 capacity and in the classroom.

As an integral part of the team in your SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will play a pivotal part in providing invaluable support. Your key responsibilities will consist of:

  1. Nurturing student’s social and communication skills, fostering an inclusive and harmonious school community.
  2. Working alongside the teaching team to establish and maintain a positive and stimulating classroom environment.
  3. Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to support students with SEN.
  4. Facilitating student’s access to the curriculum, adapting / differentiating materials as necessary.
  5. Establishing strong partnerships with parents and other colleagues to ensure a co-ordinated approach to support.
  6. Monitoring and tracking student’s progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  7. Ensuring the safety and well-being of students at all times.



– Previous experience working with children in any capacity is beneficial, experience working with students with SEN is highly advantageous.

– A genuine passion for the field of education and supporting students with special educational needs.

– The ability to work collaboratively as a SEN Teaching Assistant within a supportive team environment.

– Flexibility and adaptability to meet the unique needs of students.

– Demonstrating patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach.
