About the role/school
We are seeking a dedicated Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming early years setting in Newham. This Qualified Nursery Practitioner role is based in a nurturing, play-based environment for children aged two to five, with a strong emphasis on communication and early development. The setting has been rated Outstanding by Ofsted (2024), highlighting its high-quality teaching and leadership. As a Qualified Nursery Practitioner, you will support children in engaging indoor and outdoor learning spaces designed to build confidence and independence. Job Responsibilities
As a Qualified Nursery Practitioner, you will:
- Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities
- Work collaboratively with staff to maintain a positive and inclusive environment
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are always met
Qualifications/Experience
To be considered for this Qualified Nursery Practitioner role, you should have:
- A relevant early years qualification (Level 2 or above)
- Experience working as a Qualified Nursery Practitioner or in a similar role
- Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
- Right to work in the UK
